The all-new Maruti Brezza has regained its lost position in the SUV segment, leaving behind the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Creta and Tata Punch. However, the difference between Maruti Brezza and Tata Nexon is minor.
Major automobile companies like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors and Mahindra have registered positive sales in the last month. Maruti Suzuki Baleno became the best selling vehicle with 18,418 vehicles sold in the month of August 2022. But apart from this, another shocking figure has also come to the fore. In fact, Maruti Brezza has secured the number 1 position in the list of best selling SUVs. Brezza price starts from ₹ 7.99 Lakh. At the same time, the price of Tata Nexon starts at 7.60 Lakh.Both these prices are ex showroom.
Which cars are on second or third number?
The all-new Maruti Brezza has regained its lost position in the SUV segment, leaving behind the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Creta and Tata Punch. However, the difference between Maruti Brezza and Tata Nexon is minor. Maruti sold 15,193 Brezza vehicles in August 2022 as compared to 12,906 units sold in the same month last year, registering an annual sales growth of 18%. On the other hand, Tata Motors sold 1,5085 vehicles of the Nexon compact SUV last month, while in August 2021, the company sold 1,006 vehicles. Nexon has posted 51% year-on-year sales growth.
Hyundai has sold 12,577 vehicles of the Creta compact SUV in August 2022, compared to 12,597 vehicles sold in the same month last year. Apart from this, Tata Motors has also registered sales of more than 12,000 of Tata Punch SUV in the month of August 2022 and become the fourth best selling vehicle in the SUV segment.
