The announcement was made by Chief Minister MK Stalin on Thursday. He said that the relief amount would be used to provide relief to the affected people and to help in the restoration of infrastructure.

The heavy rains and landslides in Himachal Pradesh have caused widespread damage. Over 40 people have been killed and thousands have been displaced. The state government has declared a state of emergency.

The relief amount from Tamil Nadu will be used to provide food, shelter, clothing, and medical assistance to the affected people. It will also be used to help in the restoration of roads, bridges, and other infrastructure.

Stalin said that the people of Tamil Nadu stand in solidarity with the people of Himachal Pradesh in this difficult time. He expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

The Chief Minister also directed the State Disaster Management Authority to coordinate with the Himachal Pradesh government in providing relief and assistance.

This is not the first time that Tamil Nadu has come to the aid of other states in times of need. In 2018, the state government announced a relief of Rs 100 crore to Kerala, which was hit by devastating floods.

The people of Tamil Nadu have a long history of helping others in need. This is a reflection of the state's culture of compassion and generosity.

The relief amount from Tamil Nadu will be a welcome help to the people of Himachal Pradesh. It will help them to rebuild their lives and recover from the devastation caused by the recent rains and landslides.
