BJP’s Rahul Gandhi ‘Ticket to Disaster’ jibe: Congress hits back, calls it ‘baseless and malicious’

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday took a jibe at the Congress, calling Rahul Gandhi a “Ticket to Disaster” as the prime ministerial candidate for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The BJP’s attack on Gandhi came after the Congress announced that he would be the party’s face for the next general election.

The BJP’s Attack

“Rahul Gandhi is a disaster waiting to happen. He is not capable of leading the country,” said BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra. “He is a dynast who has no experience or vision. He is only interested in power and pelf.”

The BJP also mocked the Congress’s decision to make Gandhi the party’s prime ministerial candidate.

“The Congress is making a big mistake by making Rahul Gandhi its prime ministerial candidate,” said Patra. “He is not the right person to lead the country.”

The BJP’s attack on Gandhi comes at a time when the Congress is facing an existential crisis. The party has been out of power in the Centre for over seven years and is struggling to win elections in states.

The Congress’s Response

The Congress has dismissed the BJP’s attack on Gandhi, calling it “baseless and malicious”.

“Rahul Gandhi is a popular and experienced leader who is capable of leading the country,” said Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala. “The BJP is just trying to divert attention from its own failures.”

The Outlook for 2024

It remains to be seen whether the BJP’s attack on Gandhi will have any impact on the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The Congress is hoping that Gandhi’s popularity will help the party to win back power. However, the BJP is confident that it will be able to defeat the Congress, even with Gandhi as its prime ministerial candidate.

The 2024 Lok Sabha elections are still two years away, and a lot can happen in that time. However, the BJP’s attack on Gandhi is a sign that the party is taking the Congress seriously. The BJP is determined to prevent the Congress from returning to power, and it is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve its goal.
